Project Overview
The building stood on a busy Swinton road with a narrow access point. The demolition team needed a scaffold that could be adjusted level by level while a beam section kept resident vehicles moving through the alleyway.

Our Approach
We erected the main structure in one day and returned over the two-week programme to lower the lift levels as demolition progressed. For another Greater Manchester project with complex access requirements, see our birdcage and crash deck scaffolding in Bolton.
The survey identified narrow access, so we planned a beam span over the alleyway to keep the residents’ vehicle route open.
A full safety barrier protected pedestrians and motorists from the demolition work while the scaffold was in use.
Our team returned to site to adjust the scaffold lift by lift as the building was dismantled over two weeks.
We kept access routes clear of equipment and struck the scaffold promptly when demolition finished.
Client Feedback
Provided the exact service we required to a high standard going above and beyond on safety and quality and accommodating our tight timeframes.
